This program is a full day excursion to the southwest of Addis Ababa. The tour will give you an opportunity to visit Melka Kunture Archaeological site which hosts 2 million year old discovered fossils of pre-historic age and 1. 5 million years old stone tools as well as rock-hewn church of Adadi Mariam which is believed to be constructed by the famous king Lalibela.

In addition the visit encompasses UNESCO registered Tiya Stele site which consists of 36 ancient Stele or Obelisks, of which thirty one of them are decorated with carvings.

Morning, meet your guide get detail briefings on the full day program. Then start your trip and drive 50 km on the road to Jima and once you rich the awash bridge, drive another 1 Km road to the east and find pre historic site of Melka Kunture; pay visit to the Stone Age Museum and Open air Butchery area. After the visit you will drive 5 km and another junction 15 km to the west from the Adadi village and here will find the most southern rock hewn church of Adadi Mariam.

In the afternoon after Lunch break drive to Tiya stele and discover its story and Mystery. Then drive back to Addis Ababa and on the way sightseeing tour to the rural Ethiopia landscape.
