Three days trip to Harar and Dire Dawa

This three days trip starts from Addis Ababa, to visit Dire Dawa and the walled town of Harar which is the fourth holiest city of Islam next to Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. During this trip visitors will also see Awash National park, visit the biggest Chat Market in Ethiopia at Aweday, and interested visitors may visit the Chat Chewing and Coffee Ceremony at Dire Dawa and Harar.
Day 1 – Morning drive eastwards to Dire Dawa which is located 500km away from Addis Ababa. Dire Dawa is one of the vibrant business cities in the Eastern parts of Ethiopia and gate way to Djibouti. Along the route to Dire Dawa and Harar, visitors stop at Awash National park, and at the most scenic viewpoints. Lunch will be either at Asebeteferi or Hirna towns. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 2 –Early morning visit Dire Dawa city and drive to the Walled city of Harar which shelters more than 87 mosques within one sq km area, the largest concentration in the World. Visit the multicultural colorful market of Harar which is attended by different tribes, the traditional house of the people of Harari , the House of the famous late 19th French poet – Arthur Rimbaud, the panoramic view of Harar, walls and gates of Harar, and in the evening visit the Heyna Man. Overnight in a hotel
Day 3 – Drive back to Addis visiting the biggest Chat (mild Stimulant) market at Aweday. Lunch and refreshment will be in one of the towns found between Harar and Addis Ababa.
